Dyno Tuning Services
All our tuning and trouble shooting is performed on a Dyno Dynamics dynomax 450 chassis dynamometer (2 wheels/1 axle). We also use a Dyno Dynamics high speed lambda sensor and a Steelman ChassisEAR for detonation detection. We specialise in aftermarket engine management systems and have in depth experience and competent in installation, setup and tuning of MoTec, Autronic, TSI, EMS, Haltech, Microtech, Wolf, and Apexi engine management systems. We are experienced tuners of Holley and Weber carburetors and keep in stock an extensive range of tuning components such as jets and power valves. Methanol sprint cars, LPG vehicles and carburetor equipped automobiles have also been tuned on our dyno with excellent results. Here are the following dyno related services we provide. Standard power session 3 standard power runs are performed on the automobile. A graph typically depicting power/tractive effort or air fuel ratio vs. speed/rpm is also provided. Ignition timing, boost pressure and fuel pressure checks This combines a standard power session with a check in ignition timing at idle, fuel pressure and boost pressure. Useful for cars that feel sluggish off boost, have erratic air-fuel ratios or suspect bleed valves. Set-up of initial parameters on aftermarket computers Parameters reset and entered into after market engine management systems prior to a full dyno run. Features such as cold start, plotting of base fuel/ignition maps and setting of electronic boost controllers are all included. Basic tune Standard tune where full throttle and some partial throttle mapping is carried out on the dyno. Ideal for cars with modifications carried out after a previous tune or where the operating conditions of the car have changed. Complete tune This is for a complete tune typically done after a new ecu installation. It is a drive in drive out service and includes full ecu programming from idle/cold start to part throttle/cruise and then full throttle/power conditions. OEM ECU Programming Enquire about our reprogramming of selected factory ecu�s using our custom daughter boards eg. Nissan SR/CA/RB engine series. Dyno Hire Other tuners can purchase dyno time including the use of all diagnostic sensors for the flat rate of $88 per hour.NB: A Unigroup employee will drive the vehicle on the dyno but will not assist in the tuning of the vehicle.
